Training for Texas Plinkit Administrators (and more!)

Plinkit folks at the Texas State Library got a full dose of training at Joel Burton's Plone Bootcamp in Houston last week (road trip!) and then they turned around and hosted Plinkit Administrator training, once again starring Joel Burton. The Plinkit Administrators training was attended by 10 future Plinkit Admins from around the state.  This training resulted in a lot of enthusiasm for the project, and eight new sites are preparing to roll out!  Watch this space!

Joel Burton (who has been a fan of Plinkit since several Plinkiteers attended his Bootcamp last July in Portland, OR) will be donating several hours of consulting time to make improvements to Plinkit in conjunction with the upcoming Documentation & E-commerce Sprint(*) being hosted at Google. Darci Hanning from the Oregon State Library will be working with Joel before the sprint on Plinkit improvements and then participating in the sprint as a documentation writer.

Stay tuned for further developments!

*A sprint is a short period of software development. Sprints have become popular events among some Open Source projects [...] They are often held near conferences which most of the project's team attends, but they can also be hosted by some involved party at their premises or some interesting location. --Wikipedia
