Plinkit Website Upgraded

New features available with a later version of Plone....

You may have noticed the new look of the Plinkit website.  Plinkit.org was recently upgraded to Plone version 3.2 and the new color scheme and logo were added at the same time.  We've also posted a map of all the libraries that are using Plinkit.

The upgrade incorporates a number of improvements.  Resources can now be tracked, so if Collaborative members delete a picture, and another document references it, they'll know right away instead of being surprised when they look at the other document (preventing dead links).  The Sharing tab can now be used to give a user or group the right to read or edit any object and the sharing page function has been simplified.  Users will now be able to navigate easily between content items stored in a container such as a folder.  A locking mechanism will prevent two people from editing the same page at the same time.  More settings will now be available from Control Panel so members won't have to go to ZMI as much.  And there's now a Rich Text field in Smart Folders.

These are just a few of the many enhancements that will make it easier to work with the Plinkit website.  For more information see "Feature enhancements in this release."
