Up one levelColorado State Library Excited to Offer Plinkit
The Colorado State Library has joined the collaborative along with Oregon, Texas and Illinois and not a moment too soon! Currently Colorado has 30 public libraries with no websites. Other rural libraries request Plinkit because of struggles they experience with their current website.
Some comments:
- they only have one page or a few pages
- they have no access to edit their website
- they have to pay every time they have a a website update
- they rely on one tech volunteer who may/may not be available
For these reasons, we have many requests for Plinkit in Colorado.
Colorado's
first library to go live with Plinkit was the Park County Public
Libraries (http://parkcounty.colibraries.org) in October 2006. With
four small libraries spread over a large county (each library is 50+
miles from the others) the staff intranet is a popular component of the
software. Patty Chapman, Director of the Park County Public Library,
wrote that Plinkit is
"a wonderful tool for our community. We now have a website that is informative in so many, many ways, helpful and fun too."
